چكيده فارسي :
Oliveria decumbens Vent. is known for their diverse effects in drugtherapy and traditional medicine. In this study,
essential oil of aerial parts of Oliveria decumbens Vent. from different regions was obtained by hydrodistillation and
was analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and its antimicrobial activities against three
microbial strains were evaluated by disc diffusion method and micro-broth dilution assay. The peaks potentially
responsible for the antimicrobial activity in essential oils samples were identified by numerous linear multivariate
calibration techniques. The best performance in indicating the potential antimicrobial compounds in Oliveria
decumbens Vent essential oils was obtained by independent component regression (ICR), because of its simplicity
and interpretability of the regression coefficients.
