Through carefully examining the types of berths in ports as well as the way they operate,
and the time and costs involved in constructing them, mistakes can be avoided so that they
can be constructed optimally, and consequently, higher efficiency in ports and docks will
be achieved. Unnecessary maintenance costs will not be imposed in the future.
Construction of durable and compatible docks with construction site as well as reducing
the cost of finished berths and their execution time are the most important goals. In this
research, five typical docks have been introduced, including steel deck and pile, concrete
deck and pile, concrete blocks, concrete caisson and Sheet Piles, and the construction
costs of them under real conditions have been investigated and compared. To do this,
firstly, each dock is modeled in the Revit Structure program and the cost of making them
are estimated by the Takeoff program. Real Construction price of steel deck and pile in
the Khark island is 28.5 billion Tomans and the estimated price is 27.7 billion Tomans,
which means that the estimated price for these docks is 5.04 % lower than the actual
price, 5.04 % error is acceptable and the price estimate is correct by using Revit and
Takeoff programs. By comparing the price of five docks, steel shields dock has the highest
total cost of 49.95 billion Tomans, and the concrete deck and pile have the lowest total
cost of 20.4 billion Tomans, which denotes that it is the most optimum wharf
