In this paper, we investigate an especial FitzHugh-Nagumo model with an extra term. This model consists of a fast subsystem and a slow subsystem. We introduce in this paper a parameter $ \varphi $ that controls the slow subsystem. This parameter can be considered as a function of the dosage of a particular drug that affects potassium channels and closes them.
We study the dynamical behavior of this model and its reactions to the changes in the controller. Using MAPLE, without concentrating on biological concepts, we show that the model undergoes the nine pattern of spikes when the parameter $ \varphi $ changes between 0 and 10. We show that the control parameter enables us to get different tonic bursting pattern.
