In this paper, the concept cluster point convergent (cp-convergent) and hereditarily cluster point convergent (hcp-convergent) for a sequence of functions are introduced. Also, a new characterizations for countably compactness, in terms of the sequence of functions in Y^X, are given. The space X is countably compact if and only if every hcp-convergent sequence is uniformly convergen
