The relationship between sociocultural values and sport-related development and advances, and accordingly, the position of countries in Olympic Games has attracted much research attention and has been supported by a number of empirical investigations. The present study investigated the relationship between gender-linked values, national identity and the position of countries in Olympic Games. The research was of a documentary nature and the research procedure was based on the secondary analysis of the available data. The research population was a number of 57 countries from five continents which had information accessible to the researchers. The required data were collected from the project investigating global values and the position of countries in the Olympic Games (National Olympic Committee Site). The findings indicated that nationalistic values had a significant positive relationship with the position of countries in the Olympic competitions.
