Survey Of Challenges And Opportunities For Development Of Sports For All And Recreation Sports At Universities And Higher Education Institutions

Introduction: The aim of sustainable development is healthy people, society and life indeed. Nowadays damages and social abnormalities are important and fundamental issues for our passing society. One of the most stable ways to prevent the deviations and behavioral abnormalities, as well as a healthy environment and social life, is the development of sports for all. Educational sports and sports for all are the basis of championship sports and base of choosing and breeding sport talents. Universidad sports as a part of educational sports wants to provide required fields and creation of suitable environment and opportunity in order to make recreational situation and healthy competition for all students. Importance and necessity of Universidad sports in supreme system of country is always considered by officials but due to lack of suitable situations, achieving huge and strategic goals was associated with concerns. Objective: The main goal of this study is to examine challenges and opportunities development of sports for all and recreation sports at universities and higher education institutions. Methodology: Method of present study is descriptive analysis so that case study is associated with survey of existed status and depiction of favorable status of sports for all at universities in the field of strategic studies. At first, existent status of sports for all based on structural components (formulating standards, protective regulations, analysis of spaces and sport facilities) and performative (sports for all and education) was surveyed. Then a draft of challenges and structural and functional opportunities was studied. Following final list of weak points and threats of sport for all was provided. Subjects of study filled the questionnaires by SWOT statements and finally analysis and prioritization of statement were taken. Data collection tools included using questionnaire, interviews with experts and the professionals in sports for all, observation, listing of references and written information and online resources. Conclusion: Results based on SWOT model showed that challenges and existent barriers included lack of considering the transfer of scientific productions to administration of universidad sports, lack of strategic planning and lack of attention to planning based on requirements and interests of students. In addition in this study, relative growth of officials’ consideration to sport, young and dynamic society of students, increasing their awareness to sport, cheapness and availability of sports for all equipment relative growth of ability of constructing this equipment as opportunities of sports for all was put forward. Actually, gradation and advance of sports for all at universities require the development of human sources, increase of sports for all capitations, constrainedly keeping of sport facilities and development of public participation in it and also access to this facilities and Institutionalization logic of expense-benefit.
