امروزه با گسترش شهرنشيني و درپي آن گسترش جمعيت كلان شهرها وهجوم به سمت شهرهاي بزرگ مسائل ومشكلات بسياري شده است كه تبعات مختلف اجتماعي ،زيست محيطي،اقتصادي و... را در پي داشته است. اما دراين بين توجه به تعريف فضاي شهري آنهم در شهر هاي بزرگ يكي از مسائل مهم وحياتي است كه مي تواند تاثير گذار بر نشاط وسرزندگي افراد جامعه ، افزايش امنيت اجتماعي ،افزايش خاطره انگيزي و حس آرامش ورفاه وهويت براي مخاطب خود را در پي داشته باشد. هدف اصلي اين پروژه سنجش برخي از كيفيات طراحي شهري همچون،خوانايي،حضورپذيري،سرزندگي ،و... كه در زمينه كالبدي ومحيطي خيابان راهنمايي مشهد كمتر مورد توجه قرار گرفته است بررسي خواهد شد،خياباني كه در سال هاي اخير به دليل وجو راستاهاي تجاري منطقه اي وشهري جمعيت زيادي اعم از زائز ان ومجاوران را به اين محدوده جلب كرده واهميت آن را افزايش داده است كه متاسفانه از ملزومات يك فضاي شهري ايده آل برخوردار نمي باشد. حال هدف اصلي انتخاب اين خيابان با توجه مسائل ومشكلاتي كه بررسي شده ودقالب سوات تحليل گرديده است ،تبديل اين خيابان به خياباني پياده مدار تجهيز شده براي افزايش اكثر كيفيات طراحي شهري كه بدنبال آن موجب رضايت مخاطبان واستفاده كنندگان از اين فضا خواهد شد حال بايد به اين نكته نيز توجه نمودكه پياده مداري كامل اين مسير بايد پيامدهاي ترافيكي نيز داشته باشد كه دراين پژوهش مورد توجه وبه ارائه راهكار وسياست هاي اجراي ديده شده است.كه البته بايد گفت راهكار پياده مداري اين مسير باتوجه سنجه هاي كه در ادامه توضيح داده خواهد شد وهمچنين توجه به افراد ذي نفع كه شامل استفاده كنندگان ازفضا و ملزومات اجتماعي ،اقتصادي ،امنيتي ،كالبدي و.هويتي وادراكي با گرفتن كروكي از تصويرذهني مخاطبان و... كه از طريق جمع آوري تعداد80عدد پرسشنامه اي به تجزيه وتحليل آن پرداخته خواهد شد به ارائه راهكار هاوسياست هاي اجراي پرداخته شده است.
