چكيده فارسي :
رشد و شكوفايي اجتماعي هر جامعه تا حد زيادي به تامين امكانات و تسهيلات رفاهي و ايجاد فضاهاي مناسب براي استفاده از آن بستگي دارد. اين تسهيلات در صورتي به زمينه هاي رشد اجتماعي كمك ميكنند كه دامنۀ آن تمام افراد جامعه با نيازهاي خاص را دربرگيرد. ازآنجاكه در هر جامعهاي افرادِ داراي كهولت، ناتواني، اختلال و معلوليت بخش مهمي از يك جامعه را تشكيل مي دهند، عدم توجه به اين قشر ضمن اينكه مي تواند اين قشر را بي انگيزه كند و جامعه را از توان اين بخش مهم محروم سازد، هزينه هاي سنگيني نيز از لحاظ اجتماعي، اقتصادي به كشور تحميل مي كند، لذا برابر سازي فرصت ها در بهره گيري از امكانات اجتماعي براي اين قشر بسيار حائز اهميت است. تخمين حدود 10 درصد معلوليت از سوي جامعه جهاني، براي كشور ايران كه براساس آمار عمومي سال 1385 داراي جمعيتي بالغ بر حدود 70 ميليون نفر است ،ميتواند بهطور تقريب 7 ميليون نفر معلول در انواع مختلف داشته باشد. يكي از مشكلات اساسي معلولان جسمي كه مانع از حضور آنها در عرصه فعاليت‌هاي اجتماعي، اقتصادي، فرهنگي جامعه است؛ موانع معماري و شهري است. مشكلات موجود در شبكه دسترسي پياده شهري و عدم تداوم حركت راحت در مسيرهاي پياده، وجود پله در ورودي بسياري از ساختمان‌ها و نيز عدم وجود آسانسور در طبقات بنا، حركت مستقل در شهر و استفاده از بناها را براي بخشي از جامعه غيرممكن كرده است. در همين راستا پرديس هنرهاي زيبا دانشگاه تهران به عنوان يكي از فضاهاي دانشگاهي كه داراي قدمت زياد بوده و در عين حال مشكلات دسترسي براي معلولان جسمي حركتي نيز در آن وجود دارد، مورد مطالعه قرار گرفته تا راهحلهايي براي بهبود فضاهاي اين پرديس براي معلولان ارائه شود.
