چكيده فارسي :
شيخ شهاب¬الدين¬سهروردي، با الهام¬گيري از حكمت خسرواني ايران باستان و حكماي يونان، پايه¬گزار يكي از مهم¬ترين جريان¬هاي فكري تمدن اسلامي، يعني حكمت اشراق شد. تعريف وي از نور و سلسله مراتب نور در جهان¬بيني مكتب اشراقي و اثبات عالم مثال به عنوان جهان قائم¬بالذات حقايق، عامل موثري در اعتلا و شكوفايي آراي حكمي در ساحت هنر و معماري اسلامي و منبع الهامي براي هنرمند مسلمان بود. نور به عنوان رمز حقيقت در دست هنرمند مسلمان، ابزاري نمادين براي پيوند با ملكوت و تمثيلي از جلوه¬ي وجود مطلق و به تعبير شيخ اشراق، نورالانوار است، كه موجودات به نسبت قرب به روشنايي آن از وجود بهره¬مندند. هويت معنوي معماري اسلامي، به عنوان يكي از ملموس¬ترين و محسوس¬ترين هنرها، در كالبد مساجد اسلامي، با پيوند به حكمت اشراقي و پيروي از اصول آن تعريف مي¬شود. اين مقاله پس از شرحي بر انديشه¬هاي اشراقي سهروردي، با تعريف و تبيين نور در حكمت اسلامي و بررسي جايگاه آن در معماري، به واكاوي اصول طراحي مسجد مبتني بر آراي حكمت اشراقي مي¬پردازد. از اين¬رو با بررسي اسناد كتابخانه¬اي جمع¬آوري شده، به توصيف و تحليل داده¬ها پرداخته و در پي يافتن پاسخ اين سوال است كه هنرمند مسلمان، چگونه با به-كارگيري نور، سعي در ارتقاي كيفيت¬هاي معنوي و عرفاني اين مهم¬ترين بناي اسلامي داشته¬است؟ تحليل يافته¬هاي نگارنده، نشان مي¬دهد كه معماري مسجد هم¬سو با اصول، مباني و جهان¬بيني حكمت اشراقي، در طراحي فضا، به كارگيري نقوش و تزيينات و كاركرد انعكاسي خود، سعي در تجلي ذات مقدس نورالانوار در كالبد خانه¬هاي زميني خدا دارد.
