در مناطقي كه پرجمعيت مي¬باشند و زمين براي ساخت بنا خيلي گرانقيمت مي¬باشد امكان فاصله دادن ساختمان¬ها در هنگام ساخت بنا وجود ندارد، بنابراين هنگام زلزله ضربه بوجود مي¬آيد حال يكي از اين راه¬ها براي كاهش پاسخ سازه در برابر زلزله و ضربه دو سازه استفاده از ميراگر ويسكوالاستيك بين دو سازه مي باشد. در اين مقاله به بررسي و مقايسه پاسخ¬هاي حاصل از ضربه ساختمان¬هاي دو بعدي مجاور فولادي در دو مدل و براي هر مدل در دو حالت پرداخته شده است، حالت اول آنكه دو ساختمان بدون ميراگر به يكديگر ضربه بزنند و حالت دوم آنكه بين دو ساختمان ميراگر ويسكوالاستيك قرار گيرد و سپس به هم ضربه بزنند و در نهايت نتايجي از مقايسه پاسخ هاي بين اين دو حالت بدست آمده است.
