(Analysis of the role of climate on urbane architecture (case study: cities of west Azerbaijan Province

Weather conditions, along with other environmental factors, is considered as the most important factors in the formation and development of cities and urban survival and perhaps, it can be said that climate is one of the most important factors in the design of cities. So that its effect can be seen in all urban fabric and every building and indoor architectural elements of spaces. In fact, cities, urban elements and their performance have been affected by the climatic factors and elements. In this regard, the goal of this research is analysis of the role of climate on urban architecture (case study: cities of west Azerbaijan province). In this research, for a closer look, five cities (Urmia, Salmas, Khoy, Mahabad and Miyandoaab) have been studied. The research method in the present research is descriptive-analytic based on library studies and field survey through questionnaires and VIKOR model has been used for analyzing data. The results show that the cities of Urmia and Salmas with a score of (1) are placed in the first rank and Miyandoaab with a score of (0.520) is placed in last rank
