Due to the presence of sulfur atom in many of the biologically and pharmaceutically active molecules, introduction of sulfur atom into the organic compounds has received much interest in the organic synthesis [1]. The best way to approach this aim is the formation of carbon-sulfur bond.On the other hand, multicomponent reactions (MCRs) are important to provide efficient routes for the synthesis of heterocyclic compounds.Although significant advances have been madein the case of MCRs, there is still a high demand for newprocesses for the synthesis of heterocyclicmolecules [2]. In this presentation we wish to report One-Pot multicomponent procedures for the synthesis of various sulfur-containing heterocyclic compounds from the reaction of primary amines and carbon disulfide (or phenyl isothiocyanate) in the presence of electrophiles such as dimethyl acetylene dicarboxilate, 2-chloroacetaldehyde, chloroacetylchloride, acryloyl chloride, and α,β-unsaturated aldehydes.
