The dry reforming of methane for the production of synthesis gas at different temperatures over La2-xSrxNiO4 (x: 0.00, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1) perovskite catalysts has been studied in a fixed bed reactor. In the simulation of the reactor, a one-dimensional heterogeneous model is applied. Kinetic model of Langmuir-Hinshelwood was used to simulate the DRM eactor under laboratory operating conditions and kinetic parameters of this model were estimated by ‘fminsearch’ function with Levenberg–Marquardt algorithm method. The result of modeling with experimental data was compared. It was shown that, Langmuir-Hinshelwood kinetic model with estimated parameters gave a good fit and accurate for predicting the experimental data. The effect of different temperatures on the performance of the reactor was analyzed.
