Asphaltene deposition in reservoirs during the oil production is one of the main challenge in the oil production. Asphaltenes aggregate can block the pores of the reservoir’s rock and eventually cease the production operation. Many investigations have been done by scholars to find different asphaltene precipitation inhibitors that in addition to have high efficiency in suppressing of asphaltene precipitation but it is also compatible with the environment. In this study, the effect of Fe3O4 metal oxide nanoparticles was examined via spectroscopy method in the ambient temperature and pressure. It was concluded that Fe3O4 nanoparticles can mitigate asphaltene precipitation and delay its onset so that it may be assumed as an environmentally friendly solution to asphaltenes precipitation difficulty.
