Effects and Use of Color in Architecture

Human being receives information from environment, and color is part of the environment.Through the color understands the meaning, and communicates with others. Every environment has its own psychological effects on its own users and observers. We can’t ignore the effect of colors on places and buildings. Studying and evaluating the color has its own value and importance. Among this the approach to psychology of colors especially in architecture of buildings is very important, because colors have a great impact on human beings mentality and along the way this can change people’s mood and character. Colors represent emotions, feelings and thoughts which cannot be seen by eyes. These can be observed just by eye of the heart. Every color has its own physical and mental effect on every observer, and people show different reactions towards different colors. Colors can even have health benefits for people. The contents of our buildings are hidden in their performance, yet they are the embodiment of visualized thoughts. This article will mostly focus on appropriate use of colors in different places and exterior designs.
