Abstract It has always been suggested that narcissistic personality individuals due to their low self-confidence are sensitive and fragile when faced with criticism and failure and it believed that NPD individuals use aggressive strategies as reaction to threat. The main objective of this study was to investigate the relation of narcissistic personality characteristics with rage, forgiveness and religious attitudes. 112 individuals (47 male students, 65 female students) of all students studying at Shiraz University in 2016-2017 were randomly selected to participate in the study. All participants indorsed the following measures; aggression questionnaire (Buss Perry, 1992), religious attitude questionnaire (Golriz and Barahani) and NPI-16(Ames, et al. 2005). Results from Regression and correlation analysis indicated NPD to have a positive significant relationship with the total score aggression and with hostility factor. Moreover, the hostility factor was a direct predictor of NPD.
