The interaction of bis(indolyl)methane (BIM) with human serum albumin (HSA) was investigated by synchronous fluorescence, Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), circular dichroism (CD) spectroscopy. Synchronous fluorescence spectroscopy suggested that tryptophan residues of HSA molecules are affected in intensity and position. Results of FTIR spectra revealed that HSA interacts with BIM molecule and increased solubility and bioavailability of BIM. FT-IR and CD spectra indicated that interaction of the BIM with HSA leads to conformational change of HSA. The results revealed that the microenvironment and conformation of HSA has been changed.
