This study was conducted to examine the impact of lesson planning on Iranian EFL learners’ lifelong learning. The research sample consisted of 80 students from three different institutes in Arak. The subjects were selected randomly. Nelson proficiency test (B50), Lifelong learning questionnaire were administered so as to assure the homogeneity of the subjects and their lifelong learning. For this purpose, the descriptive study, was utilized for gathering data, through the use of independent T-test. The results indicated that being equipped with a lesson plan increase the learners’ lifelong learning, that’s the findings of this study stress the complimentary nature of lesson planning.
