Free vibration analysis of coupled double nano-beam system (DNBS) under subtangential forces is implemented based on the Eringen’s nonlocal elasticity theory in conjunction with the Euler-Bernoulli beam model. The two cantilever nano-beams are assumed parallel and coupled by an enclosing elastic medium which is simulated by Winkler elastic foundation. The equations of motion and associated boundary conditions are derived by using the extended form of Hamilton’s principle where the extended Galerkin’s approach is applied to obtain the frequency of coupled DNBS. The effects of the main parameters like spring constant, nonlocal and non-conservative parameters on the free vibration and stability characteristics of the DNBS are explained.
