In this project, behavior of a symmetrical twin scroll volute and a dual entry volute has been investigated numerically. A combination of the volute and a turbine is built and the three-dimensional fluid flow domains have been simulated by steady state regime. In both case of study, the performance of the radial turbine is analyzed with compressible flow and fully three-dimensional viscous assumption. Computational results compared and different performance parameters are evaluated by applying an appropriate turbulence model inside the turbine. In order to describe the turbine performance, the non-dimensional parameters plotted under the same variable boundary condition. Furthermore, efficiency and power diagrams demonstrated and also pressure distribution depicted for whole passage.
