Simulation of fluid aliquoting in centrifugal microfluidics

In this paper, a numerical analysis of micro chamber filling in centrifugal microfluidics is conducted. The multiphase flow analysis based on Eulerian-Eulerian approach have been performed and the VOF method is used to model the two phase flow and characterization of the fluids interface. Numerical models of the centrifugal PCR micro chamber filling are also developed. The results of simulation have a good agreement with the both experimental data in the literatures and the available solutions.
