A generic procedure based on uncertainty quantification is introduced for verifying and validating the fluid mechanics experimental apparatus, methods and data. In order to do this, the uncertainty associated with a predicted value of roll moment and coefficient of roll moment (Cm) is obtained through Monte Carlo simulation, then calibration process for the apparatus (in this case, for a six-component aerodynamic balance) is carried out and the uncertainty associated with this calibration is obtained, lastly, sensitivity analysis based on Taylor Series Method (TSM) is carried out to find the contribution of each apparatus and parameters in the total uncertainty of the under-test variable, eventually, the results are illustrated and compared and it is shown that this procedure is a reliable approach to control the validity of the test in each phase of fluid mechanics experimentation.
