In the present work, Polyaniline/titania/nickel oxide nanocomposite (PTN) were synthesized by Self-assembly chemical oxidative polymerization of aniline monomers, under 2 atm N2 gas, in the presence of 20 and 40 wt% of titania (TiO2) and nickel oxide (NiO) grains, respectively.
The sensitivity and response/recovery time of sensor under different hydrogen gas (H2) atmosphere were evaluated by the change of the sensor resistance. Resistance-sensing measurement was exhibited an sensitivity about 3% with a significant response/recovery time of 45 sec and 76 sec at 0.4 vol% H2 under ambient conditions. In addition, PTN sensor had sensitivity toward different vol% H2 from 0.4 to 0.8 vol%.
