Contact occurrence in a bladed rotor dynamic system due to unwanted vibrations produced by eccentricity force is one of the most probable and undesirable phenomena. In this paper a Jeffcott rotor supported by journal bearings at both end and equipped with rigid blades is taken into account. The rotational speed is taken as control parameter. In order to reduce the vibrations of the system with purpose of contact elimination, TMD and NES as passive absorbers are utilized. Then through an optimization process with the help of complex averaging method, the optimum parameters for each absorber is provided.
