The effect of night- lighting in creating sense of inviting and absorption-to-visit and thus the attractiveness of suburban roads

Today there is a global view about the fact that if attention is paid to all features of the urban and suburban roads, it can be considered as one of the strategies for economic and cultural development of cities. To succeed, it requires attention to value creation and increased attractions processes on the roads and one of the most effective ways can be lighting. Th erefore, in this research the effect of lighting on road development has been studied. Th e method of this research is survey method and in data analysis SPSS software is used. Findings suggest that if a scientific and planned approach is adopted for lighting not as a decorative and minor activity, but also as a way of influencing the re-architecture of the roads at night, it can play an important role in increasing the attractiveness and absorption-to-visit of the route.
