The vessel segmentation is very important for the vascular disease diagnosis and grading of the stenoses and aneurysms in vessels. This helps in planning brain surgery and performing angioplasty. The presence of noise in the MRA image, etc causes the vessel segmentation difficult problem. Many approaches are presented for vessel segmentation. Recently, tight frame algorithm by using tight-frame transform are proposed. In this paper, we use k-mean clustering and quadratic B-spline wavelet for vessel segmentation. Quadratic B-spline wavelet are used for denoising and smoothing of the image. Numerical experiments on real 2D MRA images demonstrate that the proposed method is very efficient
