The aim of the trial was to study the antioxidant activity of black cumin seeds from three different origins. The study was conducted at the lab of Biology Department, Urmia University, West Azerbaijan, Iran, during 2015-2016. Total phenolic content, total flavonoid content, DPPH radical scavenging activity, and nitric oxide radical scavenging activity were determined. According to the results in terms of total phenolic content, total flavonoid content, DPPH radical scavenging activity, and nitric oxide radical scavenging activity Syrian origin black cumin seeds was the best. In Syrian origin black cumin seeds total phenolic content, total flavonoid content, DPPH radical scavenging activity, and nitric oxide radical scavenging activity recorded 6.81 (mg Gallic acid/g DW), 1.19 (mg quercetin/ g DW), 20.61%, and 15.69% respectively.
