Recently, six-switch dual-terminal inverter (SSDTI) has been proposed as a reduced switch count converter which employs less number of semiconductor devices compared with former dual-terminal inverters proposed so far in the literature. The sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) is the only switching method which has been presented for this inverter. In this paper a space vector modulation (SVM) switching method is introduced for SSDTI. The proposed SVM method is developed for different frequency (DF) mode of SSDTI operation. Furthermore, different SVM switching patterns are proposed to achieve minimum total harmonic distortion (THD) and minimum number of switching. The performance of the proposed SVM is verified by simulation and experimental results.
