In this work, a novel nanocomposite consisting of manganese dioxide - reduced graphene oxide was prepared. In the first step, manganese dioxide nanowires was synthesized by hydrothermal method. In the second step graphite oxide was synthesized by modified Hummer methods and then reduced by chemical method using hydrazine in appropriate solvent. Graphene/MnO2 nanocomposite was produced using the mixing of RGO nanosheets and MnO2 nanorod by stirring for 2 h. The structure and morphology of resulting products were characterized with field emission scaning electron microscopy (FESEM) and Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. The electrochemical behavior of the nanocomposite was investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV) method in different scan rates. The results suggest its promising potential as efficient electrode material for electrochemical capacitor.
