In this investigationtyrosine was grafted onto surface of Al2O3 nanoparticles (NP)s and then cellulose nanocomposites (NCs) with different amounts of modified Al2O3 NPs were prepared via a simple blended method[1]. Cellulose /alumina NCs with different contents including 2, 4, 8 and 12 wt% of alumina were prepared by using sonochemical method. Characterization with FT-IR, field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) analysis confirmed the success in synthesis of NCs with well dispersion properties[2]. TGA curves displayed an increase in the thermal stability of the NCs upon grafting of the modified Al2O3.
