Over the past decades, there are considerable attentions to develop selective and sensitive gas sensor for determination of alkyl amines due to their growing role in different fields including environmental and industrial monitoring, food quality controls and medical diagnosis of certain types of diseases [1-3]. A novel sensor array compose of PPy-metal oxide hybrid nanocomposite with various metal oxide semiconductor materials including WO3, NiO, ZnO and SnO2 was proposed for identification and quantification of methyl amine, ethyl amine and propyl amine vapors. The prepared hybrid nanocomposite films were successfully deposited on IDEs by electrospinning technique. The sensing performance of the designed array exposed to methyl-, ethyl- and propylamine, ethanol, acetone and water vapors have been studied.. The principal component analysis (PCA) was utilized to test the ability of proposed sensor array to recognize different gas classes. Multivariate linear regression (MLR) technique were used for predicting concentration of amine vapors in humid atmosphere and the accuracy was more than 85% for all tested amine vapars. Theoretical detection limit was down to 7, 1.7 and 1 ppm for methyl amine, etyl amine and propyl amine, respectively with a liner range from 10 to 1000 ppm in dry atmosphere. Also the sensors show fast response ( 40 s) toward all tested vapor at operating temperature of 100°C. The results showed the capability of developed fabricated sensor array for identification and quantification of amine vapors in humid atmosphere (10-100ppm) at low temperature.
