A large number of physico-chemical techniques such as NMR spectrometry[1, 2] , calorimetry[3], polarography [1], spectrophotometry [4], conductometry [5] and potentiometry have been used to study the complex formation between ligands and alkali metal cations in solutions. Among these various methods, the conductometric technique is a sensitive and inexpensive method with a simple experimental arrangement for such investigations. The present project includes thermodynamic study of Famotidine drug in complex formation reaction with Ni2+ , Cd2+ , Cu2+ cation in a two-phase mixture of solutions including acetonitrile-dyhydrogen monoxide (AN-H2O), in different temperatures. The purpose of this project is to study the ligand and the mentioned cation. Therefore, values of ΔSco and ΔHco in complex formation reactions can be obtained through determining the complex stability constant and its dependence on temperature as well as drawing Van ‘t Hoff diagram. The studies show that formation of the complex with interesting (unique) cations in the mentioned two-phase systems has not yet been investigated and is a completely new subject. While being simple and cheap, this method has gotten high sensitivity. It can be used to measure very low concentrations. Therefore, in this project, a mixture of non-liquid solvents due to the importance of these solvents an environmental reaction in complex formation processes has been used. The conductance data show that in Ni2+ , Cd2+the stoichiometry of the formed complexes between this ligand mentioned cations are 1:1 (L:M) and in Cu2+ ,complexes with stoichiometry ML2 formed. It is important to do in reactions with different scientific and industrial aspects. The obtained results show that, complex formation processes influenced by the nature and composition of solvents thermodynamically. ΔSco(-260.43 ,129.65) and ΔHco(-103.31,21.96)
