The dyes from textile sources are major sources of environmental pollution because most of them are nonbiodegradable [1, 2]. In this research, The removal of Acid Red 114 (AR114) from synthetic dye polluted water using magnetic polyaniline nanocomposites (PAni/Fe3O4) was investigated. Magnetic nanoparticles were successfully synthesized by chemical coprecipitation method. Afterwards polyaniline containing magnetic nanoparticles were prepared by in-situ doping polymerization in the presence of HCl [3]. The PAni/Fe3O4 magnetic nanocomposite has been characterized using FT-IR, X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) techniques. The various parameters, affecting on adsorption process, were examined including pH, temperature, dose of adsorbent and contact time. Optimum condition for AR114 removal were found to be pH=5 and exposure time of 1h. The kinetic data were best fitted by the pseudo-second-order model. The adsorption equilibrium results were well fitted by the Langmuir isotherm model, and the maximum adsorption capacity was found to be 102 mg/g.
