A brief excursion into hypergroups, hyperrings and fundamental relations

The overall aim of this paper is to present an introduction to some of the results, methods and ideas about semihypergroups, hypergroups, hyperrings and fundamental relations. We present the recent progress in the theory of algebraic hyperstructures, most of which reflect the author past research.
