Usability Characteristic of Health Care Apps

Background: Nowadays the use of mobile devices and their health apps has increased. Probably it can reduce health care cost. A long side with appealing of new technology, it has their challenges too. Various health apps are available through internet to people, but before use them the question is: are these apps usable to customers? Objectives: The objective of this study was to describe the characteristics of health app that should be considered in usability evaluation methods. Materials/Patients and Methods: We conducted a literate review of PubMed, ScienceDirect and GoogleScholar websites from 2005-2016 with combine “M-health”, “Evaluation”, “Usability”, “App(lication)” and sysnonym of them. Results: There are many factors for usability testing. The most important characteristics found in literature was Learnability, Satisfaction, Flexibility, Efficiency, Effectiveness and Memorability. Conclusion: To increase quality of health apps, usability testing is essential. It have Multi-Aspect factors that can be used as needed.
