We report for the first time the catalytic performance of H-clinoptilolite zeolite on the total oxidation of toluene. The catalytic behavior of the samples was investigated using the integral fixed bed catalytic reactor. The protonated Iranian clinoptilolite zeolite shows a promising performance for toluene abatement. Size dependency of the toluene abatement reaction rate is insignificant for particle sizes equal or smaller than 500 µm. The catalysts were characterized by XRD, XRF, SEM, BET analyses. It was shown that protonation of raw zeolite result in a significant enhancement of toluene conversion.
