Nowadays the importance of nano-particles andtheir uses in different industries have attracted manyresearches. The materials in nano-scale show differentcharacteristics in comparison with their bulk state.Nano-materials have potential applications in optoelectronics,catalysis, and membranes[1-3].Solution Al2(SO4)3 solution was prepared, followed by addition of 25% ammonia solution. The resulting solution turned to a white sol. The resultant gel was heat treated at 100 °C for 24 hours which leads the formation of light weight porous materials due to the enormous gas evolution. Dried gel was, then calcined at 1100 °C for 2 hours and finally, the calcined powders were crushed using mortar and pestle to get the fine homogeneous dense powder.
