Proposing a Model for the Influence of Size on Agility of Organization With a Case Study in Iran Industries

Increasing rapid changes have converted competitive business environment into a source of turbulence and change. In such instable environment, organizations try any opportunity for survival and growth. In this respect, agility is known as an essential means towards competition that is affected by various factors such as the size of organization. Th e aim of this article is to address how the size affects agility of organizations. For this purpose, a model has been proposed, which indicates the relationship between the two variables. In order to investigate and validate the model, a sample of organizations has been selected and classified into three categories of large, medium and small. Necessary data has been collected from senior managers of the organizations and analyzed. Th e findings imply that small and medium size organizations are more agile and capable of taking more advantages out of competition compared to large organizations.
