To communicate internationally involves human activity interculturally and motivation is another component which is the cause to integrate language teaching and its culture together in language teaching (Sárdi, 2002). Accordingly, the present study sought to evaluate the intercultural sensitivity of Iranian EFL learners to explore how possible impact of intercultural awareness raising on learners motivation by engaging in cultural activity. For this purpose, 45 students found to be homogeneous were selected among 90 students after the administration of general language proficiency test (PET). To collect data a version of Gardner’s (1985) Attitude/Motivation Test Battery (AMTB) was used to measure motivation. Experimental groups received treatment (Video observation and Social behavior Techniques), but in the control group (Implicit group) learners were taught without any special treatment but the course book materials. . The ANOVA test was utilized to evaluate the impact of the intercultural sensitivity training techniques through comparing the mean ranks gained in the pretest and the posttest of the questionnaire. The result indicated that the two experimental groups significantly differed from control group (Implicit group). The finding of the current study can be beneficial to teachers and institutions who want to move from traditional methods towards of modern and motivate one, material developer, and syllabus designer.
