Flameless Burners and Its First Apllication in Iran

The article will present 1.5 years application experience of the flameless burners and its practical results at FNT Profile Plant in Tabriz-Iran. This application of the flameless combustion was performed at one 66 ton/hour capacity pusher type furnaces. Use of the flameless burners at pusher type furnace, operated in FNT Profile Rolling mill have proven to be reliable and well accepted for the uniform combustion, product quality and valuable benefits. Some improvements were observed after the application at the important parameters of the rolling mill furnaces such as gas consumption, scale formation, steel billet quality, temperature of the billet and quality of the products. These improvements by the flameless combustion are being explained in this article.
