In this study a multi-walled carbon nanotube/poly nicotinic acid modified GC electrode (MWCNT/Poly-NC/GCE) was used for determination of ascorbic acid (AA) using voltammetry. The experimental parameters such as pH, concentration of nicotinic acid and MWCNTs, scan rate, pulse amplitude and ionic strength were optimised. The presence of MWCNT/Poly-NC composite on the GC electrode surface improved the sensitivity and repeatability of the measurements. The electrode showed a good linear response in the the range of ascorbic acid 20-100 µM and a detection limit of 5.5 µM at optimal conditions
