Safety evaluation of natural as well man-made slope under earthquake forces are very important. Different methods have been developed like limit equilibrium method, finite element method, stress deformation analysis, etc. to analyse stability of slopes under seismic conditions. The present work pertains to the pseudo – dynamic safety analysis and determination of sliding displacement of slope under earthquake loading using limit equilibrium method. Required reinforcement to prevent instability of slopes also computed for a wide range of parameters like soil cohesion, friction angle, and horizontal and vertical seismic acceleration coefficients. Magnitude of requires reinforcement strength increases with increase in each parameter which threatens the stability of the slope.
