Objective: Like other living things, Honey bee deal with several pests and diseases during his life and one of the most common and dangerous pests that severely affects the population and performance of bee colonies is Varroajacobsoni. In this research, we studied the effects of Thymus Daenensisand ferula assafoetida gum extracts and tobacco leaves extract in comparison with Fluvalinate (Apistane) on the Varroa mite.Materials and methods: Herbal extracts were used in 15 Langstrothhives in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 replications for each treatment. At the beginning of the study, the hives population was assimilated and the hives with the average of 2.5 to 3 percent of infectious were selected for study. All extracts were prepared with concentration of 20%. Each time, 15 CC of each extracts sprayed on the bees in the hives. To quantify the killing effects of mentioned extracts on Varroa mite, all hives were observeddaily for 5 days from beginning and dead ticks on the paperboard coated with Vaseline on the hive floor were counted. Results and Conclusions: the survey results showed that there is no meaningful treatment effects difference between Ferula assafoetida gum extract and Tobacco extract and Fluvalinate as much as their effect on tick population concerned and this chemical medicine (fluvalinate) can be replaced by these herbal medicines. But the Thymus Daenensis extract effect on varroa has a meaningful difference with three other groups and they effect is much less.
