Objectives: Unfortunately, diabetes mellitus is known the most common latent metabolic disorders and recently has been proposed in terms of economic losses and casualties in domestic animals such as cat and dog. In this study, doses of 150mg / kg, 300mg / kg and 450mg / kg cynodon dactylon were administered intraperitoneally every day for 12 cats (3 groups of 4 animals) suffered with diabetes mellitus (by Alloxan) for 4 months.Materials Methods: After 4 months of injection, serum level of malondialdehyde (MDA) in the group treated with doses of 450mg / kg significantly was lower than control ones at the level of p 0.01 and concentration of antioxidant enzymes (catalase, glutathione peroxidase and superoxide dismutase) were increased significantly at the level of p 0.01.Results Conclusion: The results concluded that a dose of 450mg / kg possesses greatest impact in the attenuation of MDA level and rising in antioxidant enzymes levels in cats with diabetes mellitus and in subsequent studies, it is possible that cynodon dactylon extract be utilized as supportive therapy in diabetic cats
