Objectives: Because of the common use of enrofloxacin in livestock industry for treatment of various diseases, In the present study, the effects of enrofloxacin on RBC and haemoglobin of broiler chickens wereinvestigated. Materials Methods: In order to study the effect of enrofloxacin at dose 10 mg/kg body weight in drinking water for 5 successive days at different times on RBC and haemoglobin of broiler chicks, one hundred and sixty day-old broiler chicks were divided randomly into 4 equal group and each group divided into 4 replicated of 10 chicks each. Group1 chicks was kept as control Group 2 and 3 chicks were medicated enrofloxacin at dose 10 mg/kg body weight in drinking water for 5 successive days at 3 to 7 days and 18-22 days respectively. Group 4 chicks were medicated two times similar to group 2 and 3. After wing vein blood collection, the Red Blood Cell (RBC) count and haemoglobin (Hb) values were measured. Results Conclusion: Results revealed that the RBC decreased in Group 3 and there is significant difference between group 2 and 3. The Hb increased in Group 3 and decreased in Group 2 and there is significant difference between group 2 and 3 and between group 1 and 3. In this study, receiving enrofloxacin at dose 10 mg/kg body weight in drinking water for 5 successive days at 18 to 22 days ( group 3), increased Hb and decreased RBC.
