امروزه پايداري به عنوان يكي از مباحث مطرح در كليه عرصه ها خصوصاً در عرصه فضاهاي شهري مطرح بوده است فضاهاي شهري در دهه هاي اخير تحت تأثير روندهاي برنامه ريزي و سياست ها دچار تحولات گسترده اي شده است كه شواهد به گونه اي است كه نشان از حركت به سوي ناپايداري و به ويژه ناپايداري اجتماعي دارد ارزيابي فضايي پايداري اجتماعي به عنوان يكي از ابعاد پايداري شهري موضوع مهمي در برنامه ريزي شهري خصوصاً برنامه ريزي بافت هاي مسأله دار شهري در جهت سنجش سرمايه اجتماعي موجود در اين بافت ها و نحوه مداخله و تحقق برنامه ها و استفاده از فرآيندمشاركت در احيا آنها مي باشد پژوهش حاضر قصد دارد با ارزيابي و سنجش پايداري اجتماعي در شهر اراك با تاكيد بر ميزان اشتغال و درآمد كيفيت مكان مستكن سكونت به بررسي شاخص هاي پايداري اجتماعي عدالت اجتماعي حس تعلق مكان ميزان مشاركت اجتماعي امنيت شهري به ارزيابي سطح پايداري اجتماعي در محلات شهراراك بپردازد در زمينه روش جمع آوري اطلاعات از روش كتابخانه اي تهيه پرسشنامه و برداشت هاي ميداني استفاده خواهد شد و روش تجزيه تحليل اطلاعات براي شناسايي شاخص هاي موثر در ايجاد توسعه پايدار در اين مرحله از طريق فن دلفي نظرات 50 خبره جمع آوري و بررسي شده و پس از تدوين پرسشنامه اوليه و ارائه پاسخ به آن نتايج با استفاده از روش تحليل عاملي اكتشافي و با كمك نرم افزار SPSS مورد آزمون قرار گرفته است در اين مرحله شاخص هاي اوليه شناسايي و مدل مفهومي شكل گرفته است و به منظور بررسي وضعيت شاخص هاي موثر در ايجاد توسعه پايدار در شهر اراك در اين مرحله با استفاده از آزمون ميانگين يك جامعه وضعيت هر يك از شاخص ها به صورت جداگانه بررسي شده و يك شناخت توصيفي از نظر مردم شهر اراك در مورد وضعيت هر يك از عوامل ارائه شده است لازم به ذكر است كه محقق در اين مرحله از نرم افزار SPSS استفاده نموده است سپس براي بررسي عوامل موثر در ايجاد توسعه پايدار در شهر اراك در اين مرحله محقق مدل اكتشافي مرحله اول را به عنوان مدل ملاك قرار داده و پس از جمع آوري داده ها از 384 نفر از مردم شهر اراك نتايج را با نرم افزار PLS مورد بررسي قرار داده است و در آخراولويت بندي عوامل موثر در ايجاد توسعه پايدار در شهر اراك در اين مرحله محقق پس از شناسايي عوامل موثر در توسعه پايدار در شهر اراك از آزمون فريدمن براي تعيين اولويت هر يك ار عوامل استفاده كرده است لازم به ذكر است كه محقق در اين مرحله نيز از نرم افزار SPSS استفاده نموده است
