This paper report on the development and characterization of silicon based nanocomposite superhydrophobic
coating using a simple approach. This nanocomposite coating showed a high static contact angle of 163◦ on which water
droplets were easily roll off and bounce One of the most important challenge in application of superhydrphobic
coating, it’s their durability against environmental influences and exposition to UV light and humidity. The stability of
developed coating has been evaluated in terms of exposure to UV irradiation, humidity, and the results showed a good
stability against these factors. This coating showed also exceptional stability against UV radiation
