In this work, SnO nano particles have been used as a donor material along with Poly(N-vinylcarbazole) (PVK) as the acceptor material in the active layer of the organic solar cell.
In this experiment we have analyzed the effect of different densities of SnO nano particles using different solvents in a ITO /PEDOT:PSS / PVK:SnO/ Al structure. The active layer was deposited using spin coating technique.
Current density-Voltage (J-V) measurements under illumination have been carried out.
The incorporation of SnO nano particles in the active layer of the solar cell has enhanced the power conversion efficiency due to the increased number of exitons, better charge separation, and therefore better current densities. Voc and Isc were measured 0.6v and 9.31E-08a .The FF has been slightly improved to 0.634963 and PCE of 3.5E-04 was obtained for the cell.
