Pulsating heat pipes (PHPs) are heat transfer devices with high effective thermal conductivity. Increase in PV temperature is one of the reasons for PV electrical efficiency degradation. PHPs can be used for PV cooling. In the study, PV cooling by using a single turn PHPs is investigated numerically. Results indicate that PHPs are appropriate option for PV cooling and has capability to decrease PV modules temperature. It is concluded that by using the PHP it is possible to have PV with approximately 15 lower operating temperature compared with a solid metal copper tube with same dimension as cooling media. The results show PHPs is capable to PV cooling faster than copper tube.
