Development of cities and increase of human population and energy consumption and increase of greenhouse gases which release to air from combustion of fossil fuel are an important issue in all country. Photovoltaic is one method to convert solar light to electricity. In Iran, government support the renewable energy projects by guaranteed purchase price. The photovoltaic power output and efficiency depends on some parameters like temperature, solar radiation on surface and … which are different in each climate of country. Iran has four different climate as dry arid, mild and humid Caspian, cold and dry mountain and hot and humid climate. By investigating Mashhad, Bandar Anzali, Hamedan and Ahwaz that every one there in each climate found that the investment return rate for a 20 KW photovoltaic system in Ahwaz(less that 4 years) is less than Bandar Anzali (about 6 years) and Mashhad and Hamedan are same (about 4.5 years) that indicate the more efficiency and more energy output from photovoltaic system in Ahwas in compare whit other cities.
